OK. I have a 2002 SLK32 AMG with about 76k miles. Mods are few but they are potent. Rob's NW DCAI, Eurocharged 65mm pulley and tune. These likely added 50hp, not whp but 50hp. I am considering Rob's tweaked Intakes and the ported lower "Y". However in speaking and reading it seems the return on what would cost $750. is 15whp at best with another tune. I do not have a wideband yet and these email tunes seem risky.
Then there is the $799. downpipes. I understand with cutouts they will knock off .3 but I don't want a loud, poor idling motor. Given these mods and say having another $1000. to spend what would YOU do?! I am planning on a set of TOYO PROXES R888's for the rear at least and they are a road race DOT legal tire, they will stick as long as the motor does not bog they should help but it is motor work to consider, maybe just a good oil change and plugs/wires could deduct a tenth. Thanks for opinions.
