Maybe because you are new here you have not seen this CLICK. Take note of what is said at the 7 minute mark.
Your theory has been in dispute for years. The NA has the same type of advertised difference and it has been put down to MB not wanting the Crossfire to appear as powerful as the SLK320 and SLK32.
