180; thanks for that video. It is a good bit of history.

Looking up the published numbers for SLK and XF. The NA for both are listed as the same 215HP/229TQ. And indeed there is a significant delta between the Daimler marketing numbers and the Chrysler marketing numbers.

I conversed with Jerry on this and both vehicles come with the exact same ECU mapping. This would indeed imply that the difference is all 'paper'.

They have chosen to use the manufacturer's published specifications for the 'before tune' state to avoid customer confusion and angst with respect to pre-tuned performance. The final numbers are what they have actually measured in their shop on tuned vehicles. Kind of a 'catch 22' for them. Some customers will react either way they choose to publish.

Hence the final numbers of the M112 in the SRT6 and SLK32 AMG are identical.

Further since the M112 AMG is 'End of Life', they don't see much value in a lot of additional testing to get updated numbers to publish.
