I have bought old tires from a Goodyear dealer in Colorado for years. He keeps the tires in cold storage. They are "new" old tires. I have ran just like I would any other tire. They are summer compound tires. Half the price of new. And in fact, the new tires I just put on the MB, were 3 yrs old. So, what is new? I have 8 yr old new tires on the XF's and no real signs of wear issues or cracking. You just need to keep them air'd up and check for cracks and cuts from time to time... Tires are a maintenance item...
