Thanks for posting this...I was too embarrassed to start a thread like this on my own. In my case I parked next to a wheelchair ramp then forgot it was there when I pulled out of the parking space. I planned to put straight back, but another car pulled behind me to take the spot I was vacating, so I turned the wheel backing out...and scraped the rim, but also took a chunk of the wheel off. Everything is fine...but the rim is scratched up a bit on top...barely noticeable unless you know to look for it.
