We have a 95 db limit on sound at all race tracks here in CA, so we use a turn down tip to dissipate the sound a bit as we pass the sound check station. I'm hoping the Db will be fine, otherwise I'll have to install glass packs before the mufflers.
PS: I bought another rebuilt 112 engine from Metric Motors and we're going to start working on some internal mods.
Sounds Good! (pun intended

).
You could try a Supertrapp if you still have a noise problem:

Sound limits are becoming more of a problem here too. Most tracks here allow 98 db I think. There is a static 3/4 revs check and usually a 'drive by' mic out on the circuit too. I got black flagged a while ago running the Striker (4 cyl 1200 cc!) - someone from the local village actually phoned the circuit to complain! Ridiculous considering its an old military airbase where they regularly fire up an old Lightning jet!
In terms of engine mods, do the regs allow you to alter the induction system? If so how, how about junking the fancy inlet tract switching lump and fitting multiple throttle bodies? I've been looking at
http://www.jenvey.co.uk/ running with Megasquirt but using the stock injector/fuel rail arrangement. I just wish I had the time (and money!) to have the car off the road long enough to do all this stuff. I've still got brake duct bits to finish...
