Been trying to find a way to try to get on an old air force base north of me, but it is under federal control still today. It has a 15000' runway. It is really the only safe place to try to top one out. In theory, 6000 rpms in 3.07 gearing will net somewhere between 176-186...but you will need the HP to get there. Stock won't get it...too many other factors to over come, like drag, wind in general... Most airports are windy from the lack of trees and such. It will always be a topic of discussion. Just under 165 has been my best so far until I can find some safe flatland...
