OK not in an SRT but .............

I was on Hwy 28
heading west between Sault Ste Marie and Munising, in the upper peninsula of Michigan along the Canadian border.
It was literally a 111 mile stretch of road with 2 lanes each way divided with a wide grass median and wide open grassy land on each side as far as you could see
I was running with a few other Crossfires here after we left the Woodward Dream Cruise a few years ago.
We were on a road trip up to Mackinaw and beyond.
Anyway the road was wide open on a sunny afternoon around 3pm.
I couldn't resist the opportunity to see how fast I could top out my NA.
I don't have a clue how much distance it took but I topped it out at 155mph and at that moment I glanced at my clock and noted the time and kept it topped out at 155mph for just under 8 minutes.
I got nervous that I might encounter another car by then but during that time I felt like the only person on earth.
Virtually no cars anywhere other than the 3 Crossfires I had left behind in our group.
No worry I told them what I was about to do before I stomped it.
After that run I just let up on the pedal and coasted back down to around 45mph before even applying the brakes to stop and wait for the others to catch back up to rejoin me for the day drive.
This is a moment I will never forget although it is not the only time I topped her out but certainly the best time.
