Yeah, I finally gave up. I document everything as well, so I am not concerned about actually using it as a reminder - I just didn't like it flashing at me every time I started the car. I guess this qualifies as a serious first world problem, car runs perfectly and I complain about a flashing 10 second odometer gauge. ;-)
