Default What would cause the car to suddenly stall?

Sorry to bother you all, but I really need your input. We have come to learn that the members of this forum are the most competent, and the dealership service center technicians don't know much about Crossfire's.

I was driving on the freeway and because of heavy traffic, my Crossfire was stopped for a one to two minutes. The traffic flow started to move again, but my car didn't move forward! I turned the ignition/engine off and on and nothing happened. Then again a few seconds later I turned it on and it started. I pulled over from the freeway for a few minutes to catch my breath then starting driving again. I drove 30 more miles.

A few days before this incident all 12 spark plugs where replaced using the expensive NGK Iridium spark plugs. Also approximately 3000 miles ago, various filters (fuel, transmission, air, cabin, oil) where replaced.

What would be the cause? What would be your first impression of what might be wrong? BTW, a few days earlier the dealer "checked" the transmission for a loud metal "clicking/clanging" sound I would hear from under carriage when putting the car in reverse when pulling out from my parking space. The dealer never did discover what the cause was.

Thanks SO much in advance for your help!
