One day my 2005 Crossfire SRT6 went into limp mode, where the transmission wouldn't shift anymore. I read here that it is the transmission control module, so we purchased a used part in working condition and used it to replace the non-working part. This solved the problem and the car started shifting again. Not long after the car had the same problem again, so we tried putting the old TCM back in to see what would happen, and it ended up working again! Now a little while later the problem is back. I read that it could be the connector plate instead, so we got that replaced, but it didn't fix the problem. Am I missing something? Do you think it was indeed the TCM, but just got another bad one and I should try again? Or does some code have to be cleared from the computer? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
