les, maybe jerry at ec can use the tune he put on mine as a start, pretty similar mods I see. I didn't wrap the header. had it coated instead. however Vinnie Ruggerio at mesablackworks.com told me since the header is stainless steel it doesn't hold or transmit heat well. they need nothing. living in texas I went with thermal coating if nothing else, it looks great and if it helps at all heat wise even better.
these headers with a tune really make this engine sing, you should hear the dyno pulls, it was screaming and sounding fantastic. and only at 6k not the 6250rpm avail w trans tune.
the engine is really stronger pulling w headers and with tuning its very easy to drive,. refined, smooth power start to finish.
the drag meet locally for Friday was cancelled for anticipated bad weather. car and son are headed to a strip asap.
