I wish you good luck with Chrysler. To clarify my comment: in Sep/Oct 2011, Chrysler (no longer Daimler/Chrysler) published their TSB/top Warranty to cover all '05 Roadsters shipped & sold in their 9 chosen States. They mailed their "letter" & a claim form for reimbursement to the owners of only that group of "VIN" numbers ( & sent TSB to NHTSA, likely theory: after 2 to 3 years of complaints; they wanted to avoid a possible nationwide recall by Gov't.)
BUT; there is NO requirement that a "covered" vehicle had to be located in one of the "9 States" for ANY length of time after sale or still have it's original owner. The Warranty is "Vin specific". They are saying that out of all the (imported German) Roadsters, only those that went to the "9 States" have defective window bonding to the roof top!?! The "letter" & claim form (with the Vin # pre-printed on it) were posted on our Forum a few years ago. Everyone (us too & NHTSA) Assumed that climate caused the failures, which we now know to be completely false. Note; Chrysler carefully never published any official cause of failure. NHTSA must formally respond to our "petition" for investigation, had contact, but not "holding our breath".
