Yes we are also required to have insurance here in Florida. And the guy got a ticket for not having insurance and an additional ticket for failure to use due care. What the penalties are I don't know.
Of course my insurance will cover it, less deductible. My insurance is also aggressively seeking any avenue they can pursue to get the money out of him. Thats how they roll.
