Josh, don't touch it! Its a top secret device that needs to be properly deactivated. The only person cleared to tackle this type of system, is me. I'll require you to sign the vehicle over to me for about 25 years. After that time period, it'll be OK and I'll return it to you without it being any more of a problem. Trust me, I'll treat you right and that dealer has already been arrested for selling highly classified systems to the wrong person. He was paid to release it only to me for no charge, as I was supposed to use it for an extremely delicate situation that cannot be discussed.


JK! Its something that's been added, as others have said. This is exactly why I try to remind people that when they modify a vehicle, that they either return it to OEM, OR include all documentation for whatever was added. It is especially important when an electrical system is 'modified' to fit a comfort of the owner, as in the seatbelt chime wiring hack job. I hope you can successfully fix it to work, or remove it to allow the car to work as intended. Good luck!
