Re: broken supercharger
Guys I don't think it's my ic pump, the vehicle ran great even at wide open throttle with my stock pulley just a week ago with supercharger working perfectly, I do have a replacement johnson pump for it on the shelf, but that is not it, maybe it's just the fact that the power increase from the sc pulley is making my tires break loose even more lol but it just feels different, my slk32 currently has the tcu tune from EC, the SL55 amg intake with k&n filters, and now the 65mm pulley:
1. are you guys all replacing your drive belt at the same time you replace pulley, anyone has slippage problems after smaller pulley upgrade but not replacing belt?
2. do you guys notice a change in how the traction control light flashes easily after the smaller pulley upgrade, with traction control off? even under moderate acceleration? i understand this could be due to the power increase and my tires just breaking loose easier, but would make me feel better if you guys have the same thing? I can always upgrade my tires to stick better with the additional hp/tq.
3. Does the ecu tuning help with the pulley upgrade? meaning overall smoothness and response, these engines run so nice and smooth, and now mine feels like it's just quite not right.
I am trying to determine if my pulley is still an issue, or if I should move on, i still have a sl55 fuel pump to install, and then my EC ecu tune. Can a couple of you guys tell me what your actual gap is on your supercharger pulley?
