Default Re: broken supercharger

Guys I figured it out, for those experiencing the same issues here is what I did.

I started over, put the stock pulley back on with the three original shims, checked the gap as I know it worked just fine, guess what, NO GAP, pulley not binding, spinning freeley, but no gap at all, not that I could tell or measure with a gap gauge anyway, so I pulled the stock pulley off, put the new one on with the same three shims, and no go, pulley was binding, so I added the one extra shim i got from eurocharged, and no more binding, so I put everything back and all is good, slk hauls ***, supercharger engages properly now. What's weird is that's what i did in the first place and had issues, maybe the pulley needed to run on the vehicle first and get some tension put on it, been driving it all weekend and all is good so far.

bottom line no measurable gap, just enough to spin pulley by hand and not have it bind worked for me.
