Thornh is correct, some stainless steels are non magnetic, some slightly and some magnetic, if I remember correctly some are magnetic until heat treated after which they are basically non magnetic.
The degree to which they are magnetic is a function of there alloys.
The OEM pulley is non magnetic, maybe slightly so but not easily noted.
