With demand for replacement units so low, it is not economically feasible to invest in the tooling to produce new units.
There is an opportunity for someone : acquire a good pair, find a firm in China willing to clone a few hundred from them and corner the market !

The original tooling for these units may just be sitting on a shelf, or they may have been scrapped by now.
The trouble is that for a large company to take them from storage, inspect them and run them for a a day to make some is not economically viable unless the cost can be regained with considerable profit.
CIBA was the OEM manufacturer I believe. Phone them.
