Default Re: How to Repair Relay Control Module (RCM) - (Mystery no Start)

Had no idea how long it's been since I was on this list last! My 05 Roadster has seen too little use, but has been flawless until tonight. Wife and I drove it to Mammoth Cave a couple of weeks ago, and it did fine. Tonight I decided to check something in the garage, and startled a rat! I'm in a very rural area, so this has come in from soybeans or pasture. Unfortunately, it has decided the Crossfire is a great car.

I wanted to get the car out and make it inhospitable for the rat, but got no start. My first fear was that the rat has chewed something at some completely inaccessible point, and I really do have a great piece of garage art now. But, symptoms match this thread, and I get no error messages. The central locking system works, so wiring and vacuum lines seem to be intact. I cannot find any damaged wires under the hood. I'll try resoldering these joints, but would appreciate any other suggestions, in case this repair does not help.

I've read in the past that too many attempts to start the car will disable it. Any truth to that? Can I avoid/undo it if I've already caused that problem as well? Found nothing yet in the FSM.

Thanks for any help.
