Default Re: How to Repair Relay Control Module (RCM) - (Mystery no Start)

Bill,

Thanks! I'll pull the voltmeter out this morning. The battery was new when I bought the car about five years ago. I have had it turn over slowly, but it did fine on the trip to KY two weeks ago. From what I could understand in the FSM, it can have enough fire for everything but start, but will not attempt to start if the voltage is too low to satisfy one of the control modules. That does match my car, what you describe, and also the bad board. I'll be checking both.

KDW,

Yep, the SKREEM no start. It had been a while, but I didn't see the part about not sensing the correct FOB (key fob?). I have been afraid of disabling my car with a minor mistake, apparently for no reason. A little knowledge.... Thanks for answering that.

Ala_xfire,

Where are you in the state? I'm in the extreme NE corner of Mississippi, Corinth, and rarely encounter Crossfire folks. I remember discussion of a northern Alabama Xfire meet when I was new at this, but it didn't make.

I appreciate the help, AND the great go-by, DJ. Will report back. Anybody want pics of the rat? .-)
