Re: Did I read where a member had pulley machined?
Well, Jefasold's tip paid off. The machine shop he used is going to turn my stock pulley for me, $80. No need to send it to Bulgaria! I just prefer a shop that has done this before with success. I just need to decide between 69mm and 70mm. For you guys who do stack I imagine the engine response must be instant and hard, hence the traction issues I read about. The Cobra guys have a sticky on their forum for the TOYO PROXES R888's they think so highly of them and if your Cobra isn't putting 600+ to the wheels they put you in a lower class. I just had mine removed and it was tough to try to break them. I went with a set of Sumitomo HRTZ II"s as I got them shipped for $375, all 4. Now I can spend my cash and attention finishing my performance plans. I will be able to use the stock injectors. I will use the SL55 fuel pump and Rob's Free flow filter and adjustable regulator. After that a set of "tweaked intakes" and a ported lower "Y" should finish the performance mods. These cars are high 11 rides at best for the investment. I'll enjoy mine for it's uniqueness and the fact it is an SLK32 AMG so my top goes down. I do see a lot of Crossfires down about 45 minutes north of Fort Myers. I'll try for some pics. thanks to all again, especially Jim for the tip on Carr's, who by the way sounds like a nice guy if anyone is of the same mind to stack but not to the max. mark
