Obviously, you haven't seen me drive.
I seldom do the triple digits but love to take corners at the limit of the vehicle I drive. 35 MPH on the Dragon is monotonous and boring. A waste of 15 minutes and a challenging road on the Hellbender
There are roads all over our nation like Hellbender. But more specifically there are roads right there in the area that are like Hellbender. And even the Dragon. Except they have houses and kids living on them. And yet,,, the speed limits are 55 MPH. So logically, in terms of safety, these new regulations make no sense.
Any car built today can go fast on the straights. So what. With few exceptions, our Crossfires could handle most any turn on the Hellbender at 55 MPH going in and coming out. Hellbender's former speed limit was no deterrent to driving beyond the limits of skill or vehicle. Which is why Crouch rockets crashed and Gen coupes ended up on their backs.
Laws do not prevent stupidity.
Pizza is correct, this is a revenue generator.
