Best way to accelerate
From what I've gathered, our cars have plenty of low-end torque, but I've heard that the torque curve flattens out and falls off after 3-4k rpms. What does this mean in terms of accelerating? Does this mean that using the "autostick" and letting the car redline through every gear is not the fastest way to accelerate? Would just accelerating in "D" be the way to go for optimal acceleration, as the car tends to shift when it hits that 3-4k range? Or does the whole torque curve even matter because more rpms usually means more horsepower right?
