I recently had the occasion to have some work done on the hydraulic cylinders that retract the roof. I initially worked with Klaus with Top Hydraulics to obtain resealed replacements for 3 out of the 5 cylinders. Once these were installed, I discovered that the microprocessor attached to the rear bow latch (that had not been replaced) created a ground fault. So, I called on TH and purchased a reconditioned rear bow latch. Now that it is installed, problem solved. I would like to call upon Klaus to discuss the technical details of this issue.
Hello Mike,

thanks for posting and for inviting my feedback. Just to clarify, the micro switch on your original rear bow latch was showing a ground fault, according to your mechanic. We have sent a latch p/n 05142957AA or A1937500184 (aka 1937500184 or A 193 750 01 84) from our inventory, and are still waiting to get your original one back. Once I have had a chance to examine the original latch, I will respond to this thread with further detail.

Klaus
