Default Re: PlastiDipped Matte Black Stock Crossfire Wheels

Hello everyone. Thanks for the compliments. I love the rims, they are still going strong. These are the stock rims, I sprayed them with Plastidip Plastidip is great because it is actually rubber like, or is rubber. So if you don't like it you peel it off, and you can cut and remove pieces of it easily. I cutout the indented lines that are already on our rims.

If you look close you can see I took it all the way to the tire, um..please don't cut your tire and blame me later . I then cut our the center cap
and then the little squares on the center cap.

I even had to repair a tire and took it to a place in South Fl called Elite Roads, and didn't get a scratch.

So these wheels are painted with Plastidip Matte Black - about 10 coats per wheel. It comes in a spray can, you cover the brakes with a trash bag, and take your time. I then used 3 coats of Plastidip Clear...I wanted it to be more shiny than that so I then added about 3 coats of high gloss engine enamel.

i added the black rimblades in the link in my last post..this helps reduce the worry of the edges peeling...which is where plastidip will peel off first.

I'll try to find the photos i took and put them here.
