I installed the regulator on my car and there are photos on the gallery showing the connections.

Most people leave the port for the boost open to the atmosphere so the it regulates to the ambient barometric pressure.

The factory regulator bypassed the fuel internally and the aem regulator only passes the fuel up the setting pressure and then restricts further flow to maintain set pressure

I interconnected mine to allow the boost to raise the fuel pressure with the boost to keep the Fuel Air mixture consistant at higher boost levels. Thats another story and gallery full of photos. Rob actually had a product based on this to maintain fuel pressure, available thru NEEDSWINGS.
