If you jack up the passenger side high enough to put a couple of stands in, the transmission fluid ( well, most of it ) will go to the driver's side away from the connector.
You will still get an ounce or two of spillage, but not a steady stream.
BE CAREFUL WITH THAT LITTLE 8MM BOLT THINGEY, DON'T OVER TIGHTEN !!!!
