Took my car to an independent Mercedes mechanic about a broken front coil spring, he said that the comparable MB part had one stripe or dot and the Chrysler had two. He couldn't find out why and wasn't confident they were the same. From what I have found on here they are interchangeable but is there a difference and why?

On a side note I could use a set of front coil springs for a 2004. I should have bought them a year ago on here when I had a chance.
