Ok, I did think that it might have a spring to hold it, but thought I read were someone had said their belt was lose. So I assumed that you could tighten it somehow. So, can the belt be too far gone for the tensioner to tighten it? Or the spring shot? I'm have issues with the alternator light coming on in the car when I hit the peddle hard. I was told it may be a bearing going on the alternator or the alternator itself. I was hoping it was just a slipping belt, but the belt doesn't look like it has a problem. Of course one doesn't get off that easily....
