they are thinking its the IAC (idle air control) motor which is located on the throttle body on most cars (not sure on ours) ... it would make sense to look at this with the symptoms you are experiencing, if it has enough carbon on it (usually from meow footing it) the motor can stick causing hesitation, bucking, near stalls, etc...
