FWIW, on Car-Part.com, they show 2004 and 2005, then 2006-2008 as being interchangeable. I do not know of any differences, maybe a Mercedes search will show more. From other engine swaps, I have seen where the differences is an external component/sensor/manifold and can be swapped from old engine.
