I used Armor all for years on the tires of several cars. I eventually noticed that I was having trouble with traction on wet roads, particularly when leaving from a light.

I mentioned it to a buddy who was a serious autocrosser. What he said was that the Armor All migrates slowly, over time, through the rubber and eventually gets to most of the tread. It changes the coefficient of friction significantly and serious racers (winners) never use it on tires they race with. They have separate tires for "show".
