They were a nightmare! They were from a separate owners club group that were sharing the track with us. Just when you thought they were going to yield and let you through they'd suddenly cut back across in front of you. They were even braking at the 'elbow' (the section where I went past three of them at once) According to the instructor he hasn't found a car yet that won't got through there flat out - its 115-120 in the Crossfire. I can't really criticize them too much as most of them were novices and at least they actually got them out on the track. The LS2 powered ones could leave me for dead down the straight.
The other problem was that the marshals weren't giving them blue flags, on the assumption that they must be faster than a road car, although we had the same problem when we went out in the Retoga Prototype. The marshal at the end of the straight had it figured though, that's why I waved to him in the opening shot.
Despite the mobile Cobra chicanes, it was still a great day. Now I need some new rear tyres before I am back there in July. Should also have the brake ducts back on again by then too.
