That rotor has surface cracks everywhere, so of course the holes would attract cracks. Cracks will naturally start in changes of structure, had the holes been rounded and polished would it be less likely to start cracking at the holes.
?? These rotors look like they were 'home' drilled. Notice the number on the 2 left rows (5 then 6)? Then the number reduces on the rest. Looks like a DIY drilling to me.
