Default NW's Larger Intake Manifolds Question

Just wondering if someone can clear up alittle confusion i have about the NW's larger intake manifolds.

Obviously with them being larger, they decrease the amount of pressure (psi/boost). So in my mind, the alledged horsepower "gains" from the larger manifolds seem to just be replacing the horsepower thats lost from boost lost.

So for those running a 65mm pulley, you may normally see about 17/18 (ish) psi. After installing the larger manifolds, your still spinning the SC at that same higher rpm while decreasing the psi.

Someone care to clear my way of thinking up. Im not an engineer.
