I tried to get away with the stock 450cc injectors but Jerry at E/C said he had already pushed the stock injectors past the duty cycle he likes and it was he who recommended I get larger injectors. Now I can run 20-22psi boost and not go lean but run AFR's in the mid 11:1 range but not going into the 12:1 range. I could NOT address the lean issue with the adjustable regulator alone. I could get the first 2 gears to run OK but then the rest ran pig rich.
I am confused by your statement that if the fuel pressure is controlled our engines can flood at 22PSI. Could you clarify that please? Given the state of the O-rings on my stock injectors I am glad I did the swap as they had hardened to where it is likely they had started to leak. Highly recommend everyone change the O-rings at least. With stock boost the 450cc injectors are fine, with a 62mm SC pulley the motor is likely borderline. AFR gauge is a must. I imagine my motor was running lean up top when I ran just the 65mm SC pulley. Mark
