You want to use basically what came in the cylinder. If the lock originally came with graphite, use graphite. If it came with oil, use oil. Since the book says lock grease the best thing would be a little shot of white lithium grease. Many foreign cars use white lithium from the factory. It does not freeze easy and a SMALL spray of WD40 with reliquify the grease in the future. I have made a thousand dollars on Ford door locks with a small spray of WD40. People come in with the door key not working because the tumblers are stuck from dried out grease. Same for the Ford ignitions the grease gets dried out and when you turn the key to start, the ignition will not spring back and it grinds the starter.
