Default Re: Convertible Top Material

Our tops are fabric, with what I believe is a flame adhesion waterproof vinyl layer underneath. It is a two layer top, unlike the corvette that has a 5 layer top. The crossfire top is not like the vinyl top layer on the 350Z or Mustang convertible tops. That protectant will work perfectly on your crossfire top. I know, because I use it. Like I said before, it's worth every penny to see the top bead up when it rains. The most important PM requirement here in Florida with the hot sun, is to make sure the top has some sort of fabric protection. The sun is the worst enemy for a fabric top, because it weakens the strength of the fibers. This protectant penetrates the fibers and coats them to help resist the effects of the sun. Damn...maybe I should be a spokesman for this stuff! Anyway, the decision is yours. But after using this product for over 6 years on vettes and keeping the top as good as the day it came out of the showroom, I want to pass on this information. "Try it...you'll like it!"
