Could you undo one of the plug wires on the dead side and install a plug into it and hold it against the valve cover and see if there is spark ?
Only thing that makes any sense to me, although very little.
I can't see how 3 coil packs went bad together, or how the transistor drivers in the PTCM all went bad for all 3 coil packs.
Only thing I can think of is the the entire coil pack harness for that side got cut.
I guess the cam sprocket is keyed, it's possible that sheared and that side's cam is out of time.
If you have spark, then the cam is about all that's left.
