My car's exhaust smells like rotten eggs - Delphi FAQ
www.delphifaq.com/faq/f1188.shtml
My car's exhaus
smells like rotten eggs when I start it up in the morning. Why is that ... is usually noticed after a cold start, fast idle, extended periods of idling and full
throttle acceleration. ... Replacing the
catalytic converter will not eliminate sulfur
smell and ... Strong sulfur
smell means that you are running a rich air/fuel rat
Running rich can cause the smell and changing the converter will not change that if indeed you are rich. Still trying to dial it in AFR wise? It was tough for me and time consuming as the regulator gets more sensitive as you get a finer tune/AFR. Mark
