I just had the rear part of my console out the other day...
You have to carefully pry up the small trim piece around the shifter, it snaps down, but be careful, pry it up evenly as you go.
Once that is off, then you can pry up the whole piece with the window switches in it, starting from the rear of it, where the crack is. There are two snaps there holding it down and the front tucks in under the ash tray/cig lighter area.
Once that piece is out, there are two screws showing behind the shifter that hold the front of the rear console down and there are two 10mm nuts under the carpet inside the console compartment. Just pull up the carpet at the back of the compartment and you'll see them. After that, pull off the E-brake's rubber cover, it just pulls it straight off with some effort. Then the console is ready to come out
Note: the front of the rear console, were you removed the screws, hooks into the shifter part of the console, so be careful not to break the hooks off when lifting out the rear console.
Hope that helps. Sorry I don't have any pics, I was kind of in a rush installing an Ipod in the console compartment and didn't have my camera handy. The whole job only took about a 1/2 hour.
