When I took the plastic liner off the inside of the trunk lid to disable the secret electric locking
mechanism on the roadster, I noticed that the spoiler motor had some white corrosive-like
buildup in one area. It was not making noise but, of course, I cleaned it and lubed with white
grease. It still is silent.
It's relatively easy to take the black liner off the trunk lid. Just be careful not to break any of the
black plastic rivets.
