1. Spoiler - When it goes up it has a small squeak for the 1-2 secs it's going up.
2. Shift ****, Transmission - When I'm in 4th gear and cruising my shift **** has a slight vibration and makes a small noise, when I accelerate the noise gets louder. Then goes away when I shift to 5th or downshift. The noise is only on 4th gear.
3. Headlights have been eaten away from water and sun. It's about a inch of discoloration on the top. It looks real ugly.
My question is - Are these problems covered under the basic warranty?
I call service at my dealership and no one picks up!
Thanks
1. you can, and should, periodically lubricate the spoiler moving linkages. the dealer can do this, or you can do it yourself. it's really easy to do. your owner's manual even specifies the recommended lubricant.
2. i'm not sure if it's acceptable for the shift **** to vibrate, even though I've seen it on numerous manual transmission vehicles i've driven. if your dealer doesn't answer the phone call another dealer and get them to take a look.
3. your headlight lens covers are slowly oxidizing from uv exposure. this is probably considered normal environmental wear and tear. however, it isn't really even a problem because there is a simple solution - polish the lens covers every time you wax/polish the car. use a polish or cleaner wax which contain fine abrasives to get the lenses looking like new.
