We did the procedure with turning the key on and waiting one minute. Nothing happened. My mechanic has the AllDataDIY program and checked that. BCM wouldn't work, which is when I went to the dealer for programming. I don't know what they meant by "flashed" but probably reset using the equipment they had.

I got the replacement through UNeedAPart, gave them VIN and everything. At this point, I will probably sell or trade the Xfire, as I don't have interest in spending my time chasing this any longer. Nice car, but a pain all the same.
