Default Re: Do it yourself DIY Belt Wrap Kit for less than $25

Tried to PM you tighed1, but your inbox is filled up.
My Poland 65mm steel pulley came in the mail and I have been reading about your DIY belt wrap kit.

"Idler Pulley, NP 1202000470 (same as supercharger idler pulley)
$10.30 at Rock auto.com LINK shipping is about $10 also????"
^^Is that a SRT-6 factory supercharger idler pulley? I searched SRT-6 and C32 AMG and that part number never came up for the idler pulley which I thought was odd.

So that is the correct pulley to order and the same one you have ran for 7 years? I noticed you made it smooth, is this necessary?

EDIT Read through the entire thread.

For one: The RockAuto part number listed does not show it being a SRT-6 supercharger idler pulley.
2: This entire thread is mainly for people running stacked pulleys. Since there was a member that tried it with a just a 65mm and the belt rubbed. Also there was a member that needed spacers.
Seems like the best bet for people with just a 65mm pulley is to get the NeedsWings Pulley Saver Kit. Not sure if that is overkill or even needed with just a 65mm pulley.
