I would have to look at a datalog but it is likely the boost drops off before a shift also. Wolf have you ever done stacked pulleys, not the 178/65 but something milder like the 178/70 that I have? You are looking at the odd places for finding power. Things like weight loss. Sure you could gut the car, rip the stereo, delete the AC.
I suggest you stay with the tried and proven ways to make the car quicker remembering that a high 11 is what you can expect, maybe an 11.5 with ideal track conditions and a perfectly tuned car. The unlocking/relocking, boost drop/psi up takes micro seconds. I know of a guy who controlled his converter lock feature with the OD switch so he could keep the converter locked during shifts and so far the truck tranny he had swapped in was holding up but it was still very rough on the drivetrain and remember he had put a truck tranny in his car in order to have the tranny last a bit longer than the stock one. You would likely have to sign a waiver relinquishing all claims in the tune/tranny.
i will shot video in my friends tranny modifited car so you can see the the difference, idrive it yesterday and in gear shifts car runs forward ,i was surprised. then we race and in every gear shift hes roll from me ,we have same power its was just tranny effect, i will do that tune monday
