Now here's the thing. When I added oil, I poured it thru the oil filter housing. Did this before & had no issues. Car was up on ramps, so it was elevated a little. When I started it the next morning, while it was running, I backed it off ramps. Been on level ground ever since. And so far, no recurrence or issues.

Yeah, sounds electrical, not oil related. Double check battery posts, RCM maybe. When turning the key, put the headlights on, if they are dim and get worse when you try to start, I'd look at battery and cabling. IF they are full bright, and don't change or only get slightly dimmer when trying to start, I'd look at starter motor/RCM circuits. RCM would fit for engine stopping while running as well.
