I doubt that battery is the issue. Now I did still have the OEM Varta in my 2007 Coupe. Nine years of trouble-free service. But the last few weeks, I got the mysterious "spoiler gremlin" whenever I started the car. Even after a full charge, the spoiler opened when I started the car. So I replaced the battery with a Duracell from Batteries Plus. (Note: FWIW - The Duracell H6 battery is slightly taller than the Varta. Just enough that the leading edge of the clamp contacts the edge of the battery when you tighten everything down.) Got a 10% off credit since I bought it online & picked it up at the store. Cleaned the cable connections & posts before I re-connected everything. So I think I'm good-to-go there.
I haven't experienced any of the issues surrounding "mystery no starts" or engine shutoff like a lot of owners have experienced. May be just getting around to my turn.
