Okay, so I brought out my jump starter, hooked it to the battery and got in the car. Panel lights. Turned the key and the starter turned the engine over nicely, but no start. I guess our car needs a lot of amps to get it started.

Went out a bought a new battery and problem solved.

As soon as it started up I noticed the dome light was on. Now I know why the battery was dead. I had changed oil two days ago and turned the dome light on so that I could read my manual on resetting the FSS.
Back in the day we did not have to carry anything like this around, if we had a dodgy battery we parked on a hill.
